Phase 4: Reaping the benefits
Harvesting time 🥬 !
In this final phase, and congrats on to make it to the final phase, you will start to fully enjoy the language.
It’s fine to look up a words sometimes. It’s normal to ask someone to record phrases. You’ll know how to say them the next time thanks to this app.
And you’ll get compliments about your pronunciation because you’ve only practiced with audio.
And soon you can say that you speak one extra language, and have completely different travel experiences.

When tourists are stuck, you can say “oh, let me help you real quick”. And if there’s a problem, people will come to you and be like, “heyyyy, can you handle this?”
Welcome to the +1 language world.
Week 10: the Lizard (click to expand)
Harry, you’re a lizard. A what? A lizard, Harry.
Keep it up, train your magic powers, it’s three more weeks until you’re fully able. Can you feel it coming already?
You’ve been to something like the Hogwarts school of witchcraft and lizardry. And we’ve been working HARD to create it in an independent way.

Hogwarts wasn’t sponsored by Borgin and Burkes, Ollivander’s Wand Shop, or Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes. Hogwarts was an independent institution led by competent professors. Well more or less actually, Dolores Umbridge was a bit of a … And they didn’t do background checks against a certain defense against the dark arts teacher. Nevermind.
The point is our lil elephant school also needs your support to stay independent and become the coolest start-up in Europe. Why should the future be owned by Silicon Valley investors, or Hong Kong Ltd.’s. Wouldn’t it be great to have a half-Viennese, half-Georgian elephant takes on the green owl?
And without investors the goal is not becoming a billionaire, but to support the community, allocate resources to conserving languages, and making sure teachers get a bigger share of their hourly rate (iTalki and Preply are currently taking 15-33% of EVERY SINGLE LESSON on their platform).
But in order to compete independently, we need customers that are willing to pay for value we create. That’s the only road to sustainability.
Anyways, getting distracted again.
✅ Practice all your phrases. Try to keep those available ones at 0.
✅ Go through the listening material 2x this week and don’t forget to review old Listening videos as well.
✅ Have your 8th lesson and get like 30-40 recordings.
And that’s, your language skills will make you fly like Wingardium Leviósa! (And not Wingardium Leviosá)
Week 11: the Turtle
Almost there. You’ve gotten this far.
Two more weeks!
Let’s keep it short and simple. You’re doing great if you’ve made it this far.
Would you support turtles in the stormy ocean? How about Lingophant in the stormy competitive market? Recommend us! Pay us!

Same procedure as last week? Same procedure as every week.
✅ Spend 2x 30 minutes on listening-reading practice, mainly reviewing old videos. Or watch a series / movie.
✅ Have another lesson this week, and try to get at least 30 new phrases from your teacher.
✅ And as always, practice your phrases daily. Keep those routines going.
Maybe you’ll be lying on a beach in Costa Rica soon, with sea turtles hatching, and lots of Argentinians around. Or will you drink with indigenas in Panama that eat sea turtles as a delicatesse?
Week 12: the Elephant (yep)
Yeah. That’s it. The moment we promised you 12 weeks ago.
Compare yourself to 12 weeks ago. You know hundreds of useful phrases. You’ve had 10 private lessons. You practiced listening and processing audio. And you probably have a grammar intuition without much instruction.
If you look at the rest of your life, we believe learning a language can pay dividends for a looooong time. The people, the moments, the insights. And thanks to all phrases being on your app, you’ll have access to them as long as we are in business. Nothing like “I lost all my French from high school”. Just take your app and reactivate all your vocabulary.
We’d love to get your support after this course. It’s been a loooot of work with blood, sweat and tears. But we made it, and only with your help we can continue a company that’s human-centered. (By the way none of these texts were written with AI. You were reading human words hehe).

Here’s how you can help:
- Donate an appropriate amount for the value we have created in your life. We really need cashies most of all.
- Recommend us to your friends that also might want to speak, a language. Speaking languages will make any future holiday better, as well as make any job more fun if it’s in that language. So you can help your friends and us at the same time.
- Record a listening-reading video for other learners, or even give some free lessons in return. We will take care of everything to make this as easy as possible.
In any case, no company can exist without an income, even if the main goal isn’t making investors richer. And I’d love to prove that a donation-based system can work as well as a subscription and marketing based system.
And that can only happen with people like you.
Here’s what to do, in your final week (yay, so exciting!):
✅ Practice all your available phrases in the app.
✅ Do at least 30 minutes of Listening-Reading. You’re pretty much ready to start watching movies or series now, if possible.
✅ Have your seventh lesson and get around 40 recordings.
And now you’re done. What’s next?
Well, you know… If you continue for another 3-6 months. You’ll actually be fluent.
And you have everything you need to continue: a routine, the right tools, and an understanding…
Go out and speak to people. And then record and remember those phrases! You have the perfect foundation to build from.
Or you could learn another language 😇. What’s next? hehe
And if you decide to stop, you can still practice the phrases every now and then. You’ll see that they’ll really stay in your long-term memory. And they’ll pop up when you need them.
I was at this party and every time I would meet one of the three Russian girls, another sentence would pop up, I’d say it, and then walk away again. In the end they were convinced I spoke Russian, although I didn’t have any practice in 2,5 years. lol. Practicing with audio ❤️.
The skill you have now has real value, your 2000€ holiday might become 30% nicer. Your relationship with the family of your partner might suddenly become warm and open. Your job opportunities might increase, resulting in 10’s of thousands of euros over the course of your career.
Well, whatever, I don’t want to put a price tag on learning a language. But it certainly has a value.
I’m happy you made it until the end, and that the world has another foreign language speaker.
Thanks for your trust,
Alex and the team.
