So this week is about learning to dig new phrases into your long term memory. The video below explains it all:

• Phrases can have the status❗️”need practice” or 😴 “known”.
• Practice those that ❗️”need practice” and they become 😴 “known”.
• After some time, 😴 “known” phrases❗️”need practice” again.
• We calculate the ✅ optimal time in between.

Our only goal is that they enter your long-term memory efficiently.

What you need to do to complete this week:

✅ Install the Lingophant App

✅ Register an account inside the app, from the “sharing” tab at the bottom of the app.
✅ Go to the content page of your language and unlock the first 4 Basic Phrase Sets there and download the phrases to your phone 📲 .
✅ Open the app and memorize those needing ❗️ practice every day.

This week, you will learn the second weekly practice routine: Listening-Reading Practice

If you practice phrases 5x per week, and practice listening 2x per week, you will develop a natural feeling of how the language works. The two methods combine together perfectly. It’s also how children learn.

Only natural learning can make you successful with just 30 minutes of work per day. Finding your way in a completely different language system takes regular practice.

On our language pages, you can start your listening practice with 30-minute guided listening videos.

What you need to do to complete this week:

✅ Spend 2 x 30 minute listening with a video from your language page.
✅ Add 4 more sets of Basic Phrases from your language page.
✅ Try to practice on the app every day.

Now you know how to practice listening! And you’re building a basic vocabulary.

Yes, you’re ready.

Because every mistake you make, will be something you can practice afterwards.

Over the next 10 weeks you’ll go from “I don’t understand anything” to “oh wow, I can speak“.

If your teacher sends you phrases based on mistakes and what you want to say, then what you learn is 100% personalised and adapted to your level. Right? That’s the third of our secrets.

How to work with a teacher:

Below is a link to a platform with affordable teachers. Go ahead and book 5 lessons with a teacher. It’s a bit cheaper and they’ll be happy to try the app.

This week is just about getting to know them and trying the app to record a few phrases and send them to you afterwards. Pick any teacher you like, or get a commitment from a friend for a weekly lesson!

All you need to do this week is:

✅ Pick a teacher, book a lesson this week, ideally in a 5 lesson pack. Get to know each other and try the app.
✅ Practice all phrases available phrases on the app.
✅ Spend some time watching content from your language’s page, like Listening-Reading for at least 30 minutes.

Starting this week, you will have a total of 10 practice conversation with personalized phrases. After that you’ll know around 300-500 phrases by heart. That will be enough to enjoy speaking.
